The Turn the Key Project—is an exciting initiative that makes affordable homeownership a reality for residents and families in East Parkside. Whether you're a first-time homebuyer or looking to return to your roots, we're here to guide you every step of the way.
HOW Charities, in partnership with the Community Development Board of East Parkside (CDBEP), the East Parkside Community Development Corporation (EPCDC ) and Centennial Parkside Community Development Corporation (CPCDC) is pleased to present this TTK project as an opportunity to create long term affordable housing that supports economic potential and inclusion. This project will be 16 new construction single family houses. The project supports CPCDC and EPCDC’s mission to preserve, promote and revitalize East Parkside through partnerships with businesses and institution and programs that engage residents, increase opportunity, and grow a diverse, thriving community.

HOW Does Turn The Key Work
Am I eligible?
You must be a first-time buyer – a person who has never owned a home or who has not owned a home for three years prior to applying to Turn The Key.
You must complete PHDC-approved one-on-one homeownership counseling before signing an Agreement of Sale.
Your household income can be no higher than 100% of Area Median Income (AMI) – the amount that matches up with the size of your household. AMI is calculated by the federal government for use by housing assistance programs

Use the Interest Only Form to show Your Interest and begin the Process
Complete the Interest Application for Turn Key homes
Schedule Housing Counseling
PHDC requires all applicants to complete a housing counseling session.

Review your credit and finances
Become mortgage-ready
